Cats Protection kitten plea
The Stornoway-based branch of the charity Cats Protection, serving the islands of Lewis and Harris, has put out a plea for adopters for kittens, after being swamped with unwanted kittens, feral cats and pregnant female cats. Cats Protection representative Alison Marzalla said: “We have lots of kittens for adoption but we aren't getting much response from the public. We have so many waiting to come in, and have had to put a freeze on taking any more in.” Adopting a cat from Cats Protection means you get a health-checked pet and help with jags and neutering, for a single fee at adoption.
