Calling into Stornoway harbour today is the cruise ship Midnatsol, operated by Hurtigruten of Norway. Midnatsol spends the summer cruising the coast of Norway up to the Arctic, and is now on her repositioning cruise, travelling one way from Casablanca in Morocco to Bergen in Norway over three weeks. She carries up to 970 passengers and is due to be on pier number three from 8am today, departing at 8pm. With confirmed cruise ship visits now standing at 49, it’s set to become the busiest season yet for Stornoway Port Authority.
